College Interview Tips
Preparation for the interview is critical. Here are some guidelines to help you.
- Arrive on time and dress appropriately.
- Take along a copy of your high school transcript, resume, and test score reports.
- Be prepared to discuss your test scores and your concerns, if any, about them.
- Be well prepared by doing some research about the school before the visit.
- Remember to send a thank you note directly to the person who interviewed you
- Be prepared to ask questions as well.
While not all interviews will fit neatly into the two categories discussed above, they will revolve around some variation of these. Do not make a final decision on a school based on the interview alone. Think of this experience as one more piece of information that must be used in conjunction with all of the other information you have about a college.
