All high schools have minimum graduation requirements.  It is important to understand that most college admissions requirements exceed the minimum requirements.  If you are planning to attend college, make sure you enroll in a college preparatory program of study.

Electives

You are encouraged to take elective coursework for both career exploration and preparation as well as for personal interest. Consider courses in the visual or performing arts (art, music, drama), computer science, technology, journalism, communications, business, and family and consumer science.

Courses that can Earn College Credit

Challenge yourself!  Many high schools offer courses that can qualify for college credit. They may be Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate courses that have examinations that can lead to college credit.
